At the end of November, our institute opened its doors to curious young visitors from the primary and nursery school in Krčava (Sobrance district). They arrived eager to explore the fascinating world of science. Our team of researchers welcomed them with an exciting program that joined experiments with understandable explanations. The goal was not only to show the laboratories, but to ignite curiosity, spark enthusiasm, and reveal that chemistry is all around us in everyday life.
The children got to know modern analytical instruments, watched an experiment demonstrating the ablation of high-temperature ceramic materials, explored the “cool” properties of liquid nitrogen, got to touch the “Martian” sands, and learned how a 3D printer works. They took away the understanding that research has a direct impact on our lives.
