Competition of young scientists of SAS

On Thursday, June 8, 2023, the traditional seminar of the contestants of the Competition of young scientists under the age of 35 took place in Košice. In the auditorium hall on Watsonova street, they presented the research topics and results with which they entered the competition. In the evening, a concert “Young to Young – Artists to Scientists” took place in the State Philharmonic with the ceremonial awarding of young scientists.

It is very pleasant that the young scientist from our Institute, Michal Slaný, has won this competition for the second time in two consecutive years. He is winner in the competition of young scientists within II. department of Slovak Academy of Sciences. Topic of his presented work was “Inorganic-organic hybrid clays for industrial and environmental applications“.
