Anotácia: | The aim of the proposed project is to develop a glass/ceramic implant with high strength and bioactivity. To achieve the main goal, it will be necessary to solve the following tasks:a) modification of the implant surface by cold plasma treatment to ensure sufficient adhesion of bioactive coatings to the bioinert ceramic (ZrO2) substrate.b) preparation of multi-layer coatings from bioactive ceramics based on hydroxyapatite (HA) and/or calcium sulfate (CaSO4), which consist of a soluble top layer and an intermediate layer (interlayers) of bioactive ceramics ensuring a firm bond with the substrate.c) preparation of coatings from mesoporous bioactive glass particles prepared using sol-gel method, which are doped with various therapeutic inorganic ions that would induce a bioreaction of the surrounding tissue.d) evaluation of the biological effectiveness of coatings by testing in vitro cell viability, bioactivity and mechanical properties (adhesion strength, wear resistance) of coated implants. |
